The foundation of The mission house St.Paul in 1971 in The Netherlands was ikntended as a formation institute of The new Congregation of The Missionaries of Mariannhill in Europe. This new foundation was meant to take over the task of the formation of new menbers cof the Mariannhill Monastery in South Africa. Frans Lenssen entered the Mariannhill Congregation in 1951 St. Paul (NL). After his ordination and further stud- ies in Nijmegen and Rome, he was engaged in formation in the CMM house of formation in Würzburg. In 1971, he was transferred to Papua New Guinea where he was engaged in mission work and as lecturer on the Catholic Theological Institute in Bomana/Port Moresby. From 1985-1996 he was a member of the General Council in Rome. In 2013 he left Papua New Guinea for retirement in St Paul Arcen (NL)
